EIBPC Training

Early Innovators Business Plan Competition

First training for high school teachers

Bucharest, 24.11.20: more than 20 teachers from Romanian high schools attended our online EIBPC workshop. At the workshop, high school teachers gained knowledge which is relevant for supporting pupils in participating at our Early Innovators Business Plan Competition.

The program was specially designed for teachers who do not have entrepreneurial skills or in-depth economic knowledge. Jurgen Raizner, director of German Steinbeis Danube Center which coordinates the implementation of EIBPC, explained participants how to develop a business idea. Inspiration can come from actual societal challenges, e.g. climate change as well as from a problem that a pupil recognises in his environment. The basis for a promising idea is knowledge. EIBPC aims also to show pupils how to apply knowledge, gained in lessons like chemistry or biology. Both subjects, here named only as examples, could be basis for business ideas, e.g. in field of recycling or by replacing plastic with natural fibres.

Project manager Roxana Boboruta explained rules and procedure of submitting a business plan. She presented application document and how to work with the supporting documents which we make available, e.g. a document with advice on elaborating a proper business plan. A handbook for high shool teachers was sent to them before workshop took place.

Number of interested teachers is growing. Registration is still open. Those who were not able to attend workshop on 24.11.20 and those who do registration next days, might benefit from a second workshop. Invitations will be disseminated among registered high school teachers.

According to current situation EIBPC workshop was held online – and on this way we managed to involve teachers from all over Romania.
