European Climate Initiative: EDAPHIC-BLOOM Danube

Experience Exchange on Energy Efficiency of Buildings

Stuttgart | 19.-20.04.2023

19 experts from Romania received an insight into methods and solutions for the energy-efficient refurbishment of buildings in Stuttgart, Germany. The exchange of experiences is part of the German-Romanian cooperation project for the greenhouse gas mitigation in the Danube region. The project with its title “EDAPHIC-BLOOM Danube” is funded by the European Climate Initiative (EUKI). The exchange of experiences was organized by Steinbeis Danube Center, one of the German project partners.

The Steinbeis Danube Center designed the exchange of experiences in three parts: It began with an opening session with contributions from the Romanian parliament and the Baden-Wuerttemberg Ministry of the Environment, as well as an explanation on the passive house concept. The workshop continued with approaches to solutions from the economy. On the second day, visits to Stuttgart followed to see in buildings how optimal energy efficiency is achieved.
