Revitalizing Buildings through Education, Optimization, and Renewable Norms (ReBORN)
On February 18, 2025, the ReBORN project was officially launched with a kick-off meeting at the historic Palais Ghica Victoria in Bucharest. This remarkable venue, known as a hub for cultural diplomacy, provided an inspiring atmosphere for international collaboration and set the tone for the ambitious goals of the project.
The meeting brought together experts from the project’s partner organizations, as well as stakeholders from other EUKI-funded initiatives in Romania. This diverse group of participants engaged in discussions on how to build on the successes of previous projects, such as EDAPHIC-BLOOM, to drive sustainable innovation in energy efficiency and construction practices across Romania, Croatia, and Germany.
ReBORN aims to promote the use of natural materials like reed and hemp in sustainable building practices while fostering knowledge exchange and capacity building among professionals. By intensifying efforts to improve energy efficiency in the construction sector, the project contributes to Europe’s broader climate neutrality goals. Get a first insight into the project here.
The kick-off meeting served as a platform for aligning objectives, sharing insights, and fostering synergies with other EUKI-funded initiatives. With the collaborative spirit established at Palais Ghica Victoria, the ReBORN project is poised to deliver promising results for a greener, more sustainable future.
